What will I gain by taking Coaching for Couples?
Couples who take this course will increase their understanding of how to use coaching to strengthen and promote growth in marriages—including their own. Non-coaching spouses will enjoy the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of coaching by learning alongside their coaching spouse. Couples will grow together as a team of two as they apply coaching to their own marriage, and then as they begin to consider the possibilities of providing help to other couples through coaching. You will also gain 5 professional CEUs.
Who is the instructor?
Your instructor is Jeffrey Williams, President of Grace & Truth Relationship Education, a certified professional coach and coach trainer. Jeff practiced as a professional clinical counselor in a variety of settings for 16 years before transitioning to the role of community marriage initiative catalyst. He and his wife Jill, who will be assisting him in the course, share a passion for training and equipping couples, churches and communities across the globe with the heart and skills of Christian coaching. Jill has learned coaching under Jeff’s supervision as they have coached couples together.
When is the course held, and what is the weekly time commitment?
Coaching for Couples is entirely teleclass-based and will meet on Tuesdays from 8-9:15 pm EST on October 7, 14, 21, and 28, 2008. Information about the teleclass number and all course materials will be delivered via email after registration. Expected time commitment for couples is a total of 3 hours per week for reading, dates with your spouse, and the teleclasses. If you elect to do the optional peer appointments, add 1 additional hour to your expected time commitment.
