In 1989, she began her career in mental health counseling and has served in a variety of roles including case manager, crisis counselor and group counselor for a partial hospital program for children and adolescents. Most recently, she has practiced as a school therapist for children who have emotional problems which interfere with their ability to learn. She also provides coaching to parents and consultation to schools in the Clark County area. In 1996, she earned an Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor license and has since treated many adolescents and adults suffering from addiction issues.
Susan believes that “With God All Things are Possible.” Her approach is direct and honest, viewing each individual holistically. She believes in helping people find their full potential as they learn new skills to help them resolve their presenting problems. Previous clients have described Susan as genuine and empathetic as she provided them with the opportunity to find the answers to issues which brought them to Grace & Truth. Since joining the staff at Grace & Truth she has gained further experience in treating those who have suffered trauma in their lives.
“I joined Grace & Truth in 2009 after much prayer and reflection. God made it possible by changing many activities in my schedule, allowing me to see clients. Daily, I thank God for the gifts he has given to me and is allowing me to use. I take my role of servant very seriously and appreciate the opportunity that individuals and families give me to serve them in a way that will help them understand God’s plan.”
