In 2006 I was at a crossroads professionally. “What now? If I could do what I would really love to do the rest of my life, what would it be?” The answer came easily, “I would share with as many as possible the disciplines, skills and heart of Christian Leadership Coaching as an extraordinary way to live in relationships, to achieve goals and to live the full purpose of their lives.”
The path to the crossroads of my career had included private practice as a professional clinical counselor, community marriage initiative development, and work as an executive in three national marriage ministries that provided exposure to the state of the art for healing, strengthening and protecting relationships. Some of these career experiences included significant disappointments and seeming failures that I now understand as part of God’s plan to develop my character and competencies for my calling to inspire and equip others for abundantly hopeful, pleasurable and purposeful relationship with God and others.
I’ve trained scores of Christian workers and business persons in Christian Coaching. Additionally, my wife Jill and I coach and train marriages in Marriage Coaching, a skill-based process that heals, strengthens and protects relationships. We love to equip couples for their own marriage and to train couples to coach other couples.
I love to coach business and ministry leaders through transitions. I have personally navigated phases of development of my character and competencies, and discovery of my life purpose and calling. I love to work with individuals and teams to develop vision and to clarify their mission.
“Christian Coaching is a lifestyle and a posture of the heart.”
